From Private Equity
to Stories
I spent the past decade in private equity, structuring real estate deals across New York and Europe. I learned how to evaluate risk, deploy capital, and move fast in high-stakes environments. The discipline was priceless. The returns were there. But the fun was buried in spreadsheets and concrete.
At the same time, I've always believed in stories. Not the kind that play it safe. The kind that make people spit out their soda, choke on their popcorn, or even shit their pants. Stories that start fights. Stories that end friendships or even relationships. Stories that split the room. Stories that leave a mark. Stories I rarely see being told anymore.
So one day I looked around and thought: Fuck it. Why not build what I actually want to see? So I left private equity to launch my own boutique studio. First project? I wrote it myself. Not because I'm full of myself. But because writing's always been the thing. The secret engine I never shut off. Now it's the center of everything I'm building.
I'm bringing the same rigour, risk appetite, and precision I learned in finance, but aimed at stories that matter. Stories studios are too scared to touch. Stories that don't test well because they're too real, too raw, too now and too nahhh.
Because I know, only the best shows don't test well.
